Aliko Dangote College of Nursing Sciences was established in the year 2010 following the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the the Civilian administration of Malam (Dr.) Isah Yuguda after ceding the former Schools of Nursing and Midwifery to the Federal Government. Bauchi State House of Assembly passed the law establishing the College which was assented by the then Governor on 30th January, 2011. The College started operation in September 2013, following the appointment of the Governing Council.

The College runs the following programmes and other health related courses, among which are

  • General Nursing
  • General Midwifery and
  • Community Midwifery

The College obtained its provisional accreditation in 2017 and full accreditation in October 2019 from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of  Nigeria
